Dennis and I try our best to read and learn more and more about the rv lifestyle. We have heard from several people that the EBook Dream Lifestyles To Go is a great read! Guess that will be the next book that we will be checking out. Interested in learning more about Dream Lifestyles To Go book? Just click the link below.

Visting Family-Mother's Day
If there is one thing I hate is forgetting my camera when we go somewhere. I hate even more when I remember my camera and then forget to take pictures! Geez, what a ditz LOL! This weekend is Mothers Day and we are heading to Burnside Kentucky where Dennis family lives. Burnside is a VERY small one traffic light town but boy does it have alot to do. Burnside to me is an extension of Somerset Ky which I will also write about soon.
Burnside Kentuckys claim to fame is beautiful 63,000 acres Lake Cumberland, which is a huge lake that spans 111 miles across several counties in Kentucky and supplies boaters with a large array of boating and swimming activites. Burnside Marina is a full service marina, where the avid boater can purchase gasoline, groceries. They also rent pontoons, ski and houseboats for the day, weekend or week.
Located just about 1/2 mile away from the marina is General Burnside Island State Park which houses a boat ramp, community swimming pool, shaded picnic and playground areas,18 hole golf course along with a 94 site campground. The campground has two general service buildings which include showers, restrooms and a dump station.
Dennis grew up here in this beautiful quite town and ironically I use to visit here with my family from Ohio on summer weekends to boat on the lake, even tho we never met,it makes me wonder just how many times we crossed paths as kids and as teenagers.

Colerain Rv Camper Sales
This past Saturday went jumped in the car and went to Colerain Rv. Dennis recieved one of those keys where you put the key in the treasure chest and you can win $10,000. So off we went to try our luck. We had already been to several yard, rummage sales and a thrift store so I was really pooped, but HEY, we could win $10,00 so what the heck.
I knew however, that this was just not going to be a quick trip to the RV place try the key and home we would head. There is no way that we can drive into a camper place without making a tour of all the campers! Use to be we would only check out the 5th wheels since that is really what we had in mind to purchase when the time came. But with more thinking we have now decided to look into purchasing a motor home. Our thinking is even tho we will have 2 motors to take care of (motorhome and toad)it will be cheaper on us when it comes time to replace a toad then to replace a motorhome. So a motorhome it is! (hmm, wonder if we will change our mind again next year? LOL)
We both fell in love with the 2005 Winnebago Adventure! Just wish we would have had the $$ right then and there! I will try my best to figure out a way to put one of the floor plans here on our blog. I love the idea of having 2 chairs in the bedroom. I can have my own space in the front or back of the coach, and Dennis can have his also.

Going Thru Memories
Well this past week I started going thru my moms hope chest. There are alot of her items inside including some of my own. From her high school year books to my wedding flowers, there is quite a mixture. I have decided that when it comes time to leave on our fulltiming lifestyle I am going to box up these items and give them to a family member. I know she will appreciate, and take very good care of them, but it doesn't make parting with these items any easier.
Doing this seems to be the hardest thing so far about choosing to embark on a fulltime rv lifestyle. I was able to tear up some old diary's of mine when I was in high school with no problem, I figure I really don't want them anymore I have all those memories in my mind and I sure don't want anyone else reading them! LOL! Its the heart tugging items that are hard to get rid of, like great grandparents wedding pictures, mom's baby book, my old report cards and wedding pictures. I have decided that I am just not ready to give them up as of yet, which is fine since I have about 5 years to get used to the idea :-)
A few months ago I was given some medals that belonged to my Great Uncle Bill, some other items from my Great Aunt Marie. Its a long story, but I have waited a long time to get these items that I cherish. I have been trying to think of a way to take a little bit of everyone with us when we go. I haven't come to a conclusion yet but I am sure I will come up with something.
I try to go thru clothing drawers or closet every few months it seems like I am able to get rid of more and more everytime I take a peek inside. I am hoping that I will be able to do the same soon with the hope chest, before my five year time is up.
