Wednesday August 18th 2004 RV/Camping Books

As I have said in earlier posts while researching the fulltiming lifestyle Dennis and I have read alot of books. We have many more to go. The other day while looking around for another book to read we couldn't remember what we have read and what we haven't so the list below is to keep track!
We will be adding more and more as the days, weeks, and months go by, so this is an everchanging list! We have been lucky and have been able to find some of the books listed below at our local library, which I check before we spend the money for a book. Its a good way to read the book and see if it might be the right right one for you to purchase. We also check out our local library for Dvds and VHS tapes on travel and rving.

Tuesday August 10th 2004 Rving Message Boards

RV

While doing research for our fulltiming dream we have done alot of reading!! This weeks post is about Rving message boards. I have spent hours reading, reading and reading some more on all kinds of rving and fulltiming topics on many message type boards.
If you ever have any type of questions on camping these are the places to go to get many
opinions, and great advice! You can learn anything from fulltiming, cooking outdoors, tech tips, advice on 5th wheels, motorhomes or popups! Or maybe you are interested in hobbies and crafts on the road or how about working and making money on the road?? You will find all of
these topics and more on rv type message boards! Looking for a great campground or how about a site for boondocking? Well just check these boards out and you will probably find out where is the best place to stay and how much it costs, maybe even find out just how clean the showers are!
I have several message boards that I go to almost on a daily basis! Okay.. maybe I have too much time on my hands LOL! But you can easily go to these boards a couple times or more a day and find more and more information.
Two of the message boards that I visit daily are the trailer life message board and also the escapees message boards. They have all the information on topics that I listed above and then
some.
Escapees is actually a group you can join for camping information etc. Trailer life puts out a monthly magazine on camping trailers and travel information. Both have costs to join or subscribe but you can however, get onto their message boards read and post questions for free!
If you are interested in check out the boards mentioned above please click on the links below.
I hope in the future to add more and more message boards to the list below.

Thursday August 5th 2004 Taking A Break!

We had a rainy Saturday last week so we were only able to spend Sunday at the flea market this week. We made another $100.00 so nothing to complain about. I have been working this week on getting more items together to take to the flea market again this week. However Dennis boss is allowing them to work this coming Saturday so we decided he would make more
money doing that then going to the flea market! So I guess the trips to the flea market are on hold for a couple weeks. We needed a little break anyway so we are spending this coming Sunday at Cowan lake with the dog and doing some fishing and relaxing! And next weekend is going to be taken up with going to car racing! Since we are a long ways from going fulltiming we figure we have plenty of time to get everything done, and everyone needs some downtime.
I have been working on our rv supply lists (as I call them) I have made separate lists of kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, rv supplies, pantry items, electronic items, desk items and even more list! Okay... I am a list person.. what can I say lol! Anyway, I have been going thru them and trying to get them put into some kind of order and then typing them up on Microsoft Word
so I can start putting these also on disks. So that is my project for this week and probably beyond this week :-) As I get these list completed I am going to do my best to add them on this blog.
