Lake Loramie State Park Day One Continued

We have stayed at Lake Loramie State Park once before and really loved the place. The lake is huge and they have premium campsites which back right up to the lake. We are staying on site #37. Boy, what a view! The site is nice and level with a concrete pad and we have a large back yard area that backs up right to an inlet on the lake.
Because of a weight issue we didn't have our own wood so after everything was set up off Dennis went to find some wood. He came back with a huge load of wood for $20.00. Wow! what a great deal, this will last the entire trip. Well we tried several times and after smoking out our neighbors a couple of times gave up on trying to start a fire. We don't know if the wood is wet or what the problem seems to be. We will try again another night!
We have two older couples on either side of us all four are very friendly and are all from the state of Ohio. Time to hit the sack early tonight. All that walking and getting everything set up has wore us both out!
