Simon Kenton Bridge

North of Ripley Ohio you enter into Aberdeen we didn't make a stop in Aberdeen but saw a cool looking bridge that spans across the Ohio River over into Maysville Kentucky. The name of the bridge is the Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge. Following the bridge over the river it takes you right into the heart of Maysville Kentucky. The 1800's river town is well known for it being the home to Rosemary Clooney, a large amount of  historical sites, including the ole river row type homes, state parks and so much more. Since we didn't see much of Maysville (we were just getting wore out and it was time to head home) we are planning another trip back to the area along with the rest of Mason County. We did make a stop however along the river front to see some painted murals on the flood walls along the Ohio River. These were gorgeous and are pictures didn't do them justice at all. You can find the murals on the corners of Maysville-McDonald road and Limestone Road. When coming over the bridge from Ohio Route 52 on the Simon Kenton Bridge just take a right hand turn at the end of the bridge go down a couple of blocks and keep looking toward the right... u can't miss them!
